Creating an opening for a redesigned space

As part of the renovation of the Hôtel-Restaurant de la Gare in Lucens, Novalla Construction SA carried out technical demolition work with structural reinforcement in order to create a large opening for the future cold room. The project also included the installation of a pipe under the foundation slab and the laying of asphalt to restore the access roads.

Our mission

To secure the extension and prepare the cold room, our structural engineering teams carried out the following operations :

• Controlled dismantling and precision sawing/core drilling in the extension area, for clean, controlled edges.
• Temporary shoring followed by structural repairs (reinforcements/lintels) to ensure the stability of the structure.

• Laying asphalt to repair paths and the platform after works.
• The management and sorting of materials for recycling and to limit environmental impact.

Precise and controlled intervention

Beyond removal, the challenge was to deliver a durable and secure opening, ready to accommodate refrigeration equipment, while maintaining a high level of safety and cleanliness. Thanks to rigorous phasing, close coordination and appropriate methods, the project was carried out carefully and efficiently.
