Demolition in preparation for a new urban landscape

As part of the redevelopment of the Surville district in Geneva, Novalla Construction SA was commissioned in 2025 to carry out technical demolition work on existing structures. This project was part of an ambitious urban transformation programme, with the aim of clearing the site for new residential or mixed-use developments.

Responsible for the deconstruction phase, our structural engineering team ensured :

• Controlled dismantling, in strict compliance with safety standards,
• Management and sorting of materials to promote recycling and limit environmental impact.
• Close coordination with project stakeholders to ensure smooth and secure execution.

More than just a preparatory phase, demolition in a dense urban environment such as Surville required specialist expertise, meticulous logistics and compliance with environmental and human constraints.
