The Collège des Parcs, an iconic historic building in Neuchâtel, is currently undergoing extensive renovation and extension work. Commissioned by the City of Neuchâtel, this project aims to breathe new life into the building while improving its energy efficiency.
A respectful and modern approach
To preserve the building's unique architectural identity, the work is being carried out with particular attention to preserving its exterior and interior appearance. This approach combines respect for heritage with the modernisation of infrastructure to meet current safety and energy performance standards.
Infrastructure redesigned for the future
Major developments to the site include :
Replacement of the old gymnasium with a new school building.
Creation of two new sports halls under the south courtyard of the school, thereby optimising the space available for pupils and sports activities.
The work, which began in the summer of 2022, will continue until 2025. This transformation will provide students, teachers and future users with a high-quality, modern and sustainable environment, while honouring the rich history of this historic building.
